Most printed blankets are two thin sheets sewn together. You have felt one: it photographs well, it goes stiff after a wash, and nobody reaches for it.
This one is woven, not printed. The Fern Study pattern — scattered ferns, eucalyptus and seed stems in deep sage, soft sage and bone — is built into the cloth from 100% cotton yarn, so the design is the fabric. It gets softer with every wash instead of cracking.

Say the hard part first
Because this is woven rather than printed, fine hairline detail reads softer than it does on paper, and a mockup photograph cannot fully show the texture of real yarn. That is the trade for a blanket that survives ten years of washing. The pattern was drawn with bold, open shapes for exactly this reason.
