The honest part about a printed botanical pillow

This is polyester. It behaves like linen to the eye and roughly to the hand, but it isn’t flax, and if you want the cool, dry touch of real linen on a hot night, this isn’t that fabric. The design is printed, not embroidered — no raised thread, no stitched leaf edge to run a thumb over. If you came here wanting embroidered botanicals, buy embroidered.

It’s also an indoor cushion. The fabric has no water repellent or UV treatment, so a season on a patio bench will fade it and a rainstorm will soak the insert. Sitting out for an afternoon is fine. Living out there is not.

Unzip, pull the insert out, wash the cover cool on a gentle cycle, and reshape it while damp. Skip the bleach and keep the heat low. The insert gets a shake and a chop by hand, not a spin in the machine.
