You roll the mat out in the same corner every morning, and the wall in front of you is blank. Or it has whatever the last tenant left behind. You breathe out, you look up, and there’s nothing there worth looking at.
Horizon Pause is a botanical art print built for that exact line of sight. A low horizon, soft edges, nothing shouting. It works where your eyes land between poses, at the end of a long afternoon, or from the sofa at nine at night.
What you are getting
- Museum-grade archival matte poster — no glare bouncing back at you, so it reads clearly even on a wall facing a window.
- 189 g/m² stock — heavy enough to sit flat against the wall instead of curling at the corners after a week in a dry room.
- Pigmented archival inks — the greens and greys stay where they started rather than drifting warm and dull in a sunlit room.
- Two sizes: 12×18 in and 18×24 in — the smaller one sits above a desk or a shelf; the larger one still reads from the other side of the room.
- Unframed, trimmed to standard sizes — it drops straight into an off-the-shelf frame, no custom cutting, no mat board math.

The honest part about an unframed botanical art print
No frame comes in the tube. A decent 18×24 frame can cost as much as the print itself, and that’s a second purchase you should plan for.
Matte paper also behaves differently from gloss. Blacks sit softer, and nothing pops the way it does behind shiny lamination, so if you want deep contrast and a mirror finish, buy a glossy print instead. There are two sizes only: no 24×36, no square, no A-series. We ship inside the United States only, so if your wall is in the UK or New Zealand, this isn’t your shop.
Making a set of three for one wall
A single print above a mat is enough. If you want a row, order three of the same size and hang them with about two inches between frames. Three 12×18 prints cover roughly forty inches of wall, which suits a sofa or a bed. Mixing the two sizes in one row rarely lands well, so pick one and repeat it.
Who this is for
For you if you want one calm thing on the wall you practise in front of, and you already own a frame or are happy to buy one. Not for you if you need it framed, hung and done the day it arrives.
Care
Handle it by the edges, since matte surfaces take fingerprints and scuffs more readily than gloss. Dust the face with a dry cloth only, never anything damp. If the wall gets hard direct sun for hours a day, put it behind glass.
Tomorrow the corner you stretch in has a focal point instead of a blank rectangle. Shipping is free across the United States. We print after you order, which takes 2–7 business days, then 2–5 days in transit. If it turns up misprinted or damaged, send one photo within 14 days and we replace it. Pick your size and add it to the cart.
