It’s eleven at night and your head is still running the day on a loop. You reach for your phone, which is the opposite of what you need. What you actually want is somewhere to set the whole thing down in handwriting, close the cover, and stop.
Night Moons is a moon phase hardcover journal built for exactly that ten minutes. The wraparound print carries moon phases across the front, spine and back, so it reads as one continuous night sky rather than a cover with a sticker on it. At 5.75 x 8 inches it sits on a nightstand without taking the whole surface, and it fits in the side pocket of a tote without bending.
What you are getting
- 150 lined pages. Roughly five months of a page a night, or two months if you’re the kind of person who fills both sides and keeps going.
- Matte hardcover. No glare under a bedside lamp, and a slight grip to it, so it doesn’t slide off a duvet the way a gloss cover does.
- Casewrap binding. The print is bonded to the board itself, not a dust jacket you’ll lose in a week. Nothing to slip off or tear, and nothing to go missing behind the bed.
- Full wraparound Night Moons print. Front, spine and back are one image, so it still looks like something on a shelf, spine out.
- 5.75 x 8 inches. Wider than a pocket notebook, smaller than a letter pad — a real writing surface you can still hold in one hand.

The honest part about a lined moon phase hardcover journal
Every page is lined. No dot grid, no blank section, no index, no date fields. If you run a bullet journal with custom trackers and monthly spreads, or you sketch more than you write, buy a dot grid or blank book instead. You’d be fighting these lines every day.
Two more things. There’s a small production barcode printed on the back cover. It’s discreet, but it’s there, and if you want a completely unmarked back, this isn’t the book. A matte hardcover also shows a fingerprint sheen over time, especially if you hold it in the same spot. Some people like that it ages. Some people don’t.
Who this is for
This is for you if you write in sentences at the end of the day and want a book that looks like it belongs on a shelf when it’s full. It isn’t for you if your journaling system depends on grids, tabs, or printed dates.
Care
Wipe the cover with a barely damp cloth, nothing solvent. We don’t publish a paper weight, so if you write with a wet fountain pen nib, test the last page before you commit to the first.
Tomorrow night you close a book instead of a screen. Shipping is free anywhere in the United States; we print after you order, which takes 2-7 business days, then 2-5 days to reach you. If it arrives misprinted or damaged, send one photo within 14 days and we replace it. Add it to your cart and start on page one.
